Anna Gunn

Anna Gunn, an American actress. Her most well-known role was Skyler in the AMC's Breaking Bad drama, and was awarded the Primetime Emmy Award Outstanding Supporting Female Actress for Drama Series 2013 & 2014. The actress also played Martha Bullock in Deadwood and Jean Ward on The Practice. Anna Gunn began acting as an infant in Sante Fe New Mexico. The family moved to Ohio and she continued her love of performing on theatre. She did theatre studies at Northwestern University, and spent an entire semester at the British American Drama Academy. Anna was a part of a couple of seasons in Chicago the theatre before moving to television and film. Anna's first big part was Arden, in Down the Shore. She was in 29 episodes. Anna continued to be in film as well as TV shows such Seinfeld, NYPD Blue and others up to the late 1990's. Then she was cast in The Practice as Jean Ward. Martha Bullock played two full seasons in Deadwood, which was filmed between 2000 and 2001. In 2008, she was picked in the role of Skyler on Breaking Bad. Sully is the Deadwood film and other films also featured her. Gunn was also on the stage for David Schwimmer's show Sex With Strangers. Gunn was in the role of Numbered Days, which is a four-part audio show that premiered set in 2022. Breaking Bad often revolves around Walter White and Skyler's relationship. Its strain and ultimate ending mirrors the last seasons that were the life of Walter White.
